  1.             READ ME FIRST -- TeleFinder Group Editon 2.0

  3. TeleFinder Group Edition 2.0 is a Macintosh bulletin board system that uses the
  4. full Mac interface for Mail, Conferencing, Chat and file trasnfers.
  5.  
  6. In separate files in this demo package you will find TeleFinder/User (the
  7. client software), Group Edition Host (server) and documentation for each in
  8. MS Word 4.0 format.  TeleFinder/User is not crippled and can be used
  9. independently of the demo host to connect to the demo host or to the Spider
  10. Island Software BBS at (714) 669-9260.  The host is stamped for use for up to 2
  11. users through August 1990 only.

  13. The 2.0 release includes several new features including unattended file
  14. transfers, built-in modem scripts, remote file management, 12 levels of access
  15. privileges and support for V42bis file transfers up to 38,400 bps.
  16.  
  17. New mail and message threading capabilities provide push-button navigation
  18. through message topics, with on or off-line replies and unattended delivery and
  19. receipt of mail.

  21. TeleFinder/User 2.0
  22. •  supports a color desktop w/ user configurable preferences,
  23. •  Message threading,
  24. •  One step mail w/ built in address book,
  25. •  Direct access to Hayes internal modems ( Mac II's ),
  26. •  Automated mail delivery and receipt,
  27. •  Session timer window that tracks your logon time and time remaining,
  28. •  Built-in modem/host directory to save phone number, name, password and setup
  29. parameters,
  30. •  Will optionally remember your password,
  31. •  Supports TeleFinder "add-ins" that extend TeleFinder's capabilties, for
  32. example "TF Macro Tool" allows TeleFinder to dial through PBX's and modem pools
  33. w/ user macros, and "nVir Detector" that automatically scans files sent and
  34. received for the nVir virus.
  35. •  Local "Address book" to store names and phone numbers of other users of your
  36. host.

  40. folders/files and delete files,
